Settings → Hitz

Setting	Default
Unit	Metres	What a new plan starts in. Metres or feet.

Settings live in project config. Like any plugin setting they can be overridden per environment in config/hitz.php:

Area types

Settings → Hitz → Area types. Each type has a name, handle, kind, colour, optional code prefix and its own field layout. The layout designer offers Hitz's native Code and Availability fields alongside Title and your own fields. Deleting a type deletes every area of that type.

Plan fields

Settings → Hitz → Plan fields is the one field layout every plan shares — an event date, a venue address, a downloadable PDF. The Plan frame field is mandatory.

Settings and area types are admin-only and need allowAdminChanges.

If a Pro licence lapses, nothing is deleted and nothing goes blank: plans keep rendering, coloured by area type instead of availability, and stored availability comes back on renewal. Only creating more than Lite allows is refused.
